Introduction to Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) and Huntington's Disease- This module provides background on Huntington’s Disease including the basic symptomology of disease progression, its genetic nature and current treatment options for motor and psychiatric symptoms, and the role of OT practitioners. The mission and purpose of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America is also reviewed.
-Huntington’s disease is discussed from the perspective of what a community based practitioner needs to know about the disease in order to consult with and offer therapy to persons with HD.
